View of the iconic Flatirons overlooking Boulder

Maybe you're coming for the mountains, the skiing or climbing or hiking or biking drawing you out to this small city at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.

Maybe it's the research, the universities, the start-ups, the tech companies, the innovation that Boulder seems to encourage.

Maybe you're curious about the holistic, natural lifestyle that this town is known for.

Maybe you're just coming for a little sunshine.

Whatever brings you to Boulder, this guide will help you get the most out of your Boulder trip.

This guide is for you if:

  • You're new to Boulder and want to see the highlights of the city;
  • You're aiming to get the most bang for your buck;
  • You're curious to know all angles of the "People's Republic of Boulder" and would like to get beyond the obvious.

In three days, this itinerary will give you the full Boulder experience from its delicious food to its breweries; from its entertainment to its cutting-edge scientific research; from its natural beauty to its mutli-faceted culture.

Each day includes step-by-step directions, local's tips, as well as general background and cultural information. My email address is also included in the itinerary. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions!

Before using this itinerary, please note that I recommend a car for Days 2 and 3. While the activities can all be done using buses, it would take at least double the amount of time allotted.
